Design & Construction :
UDAY (UEI) Electroplating Rectifiers are designed for three phase, 50 Hz AC Input supply and can be operated at any Voltage between 380 to 440 Volts. Hence it covers a wider range to cater for mains Voltage fluctuations.

The DC Output is continuously rated and steplessly variable from Zero to its full  rated Voltage for any input Voltage in between 380 to 440 Volts and for any load form Zero to its full  rated load. These units are advisable for all special processes i.e. Chrome Plating or Hard Chrome Plating as the ripple content in the output is very low (less than 5%).
We also manufacture 63 Steps on load and 15 Steps on load control Rectifiers. CCC & CVC also pulse Rectifier.

(A) DOUBLE WOUND TRANSFORMER:
A double wound impregnated stepdown transformer of conventional design and as per std. Specifications as far as temperature rise and insulations are concerned. The Primary is delta connected and  Secondary has two star connected windings OR Primary and Secondary Star Connected.


(B) RECTIFIER :
Rectifier Stack Assembly made up for Sturdy liberally rated Silicon Diodes connected in a Six Phase double star circuit. The Diodes are mounted on a cooling fan to dissipate the heat and thus increasing the rating of the Diode. Necessary numbers of Diodes are  connected in parallel depends upon the Out put current rating.

(C) Three Phase Auto wound regulating Transformer controlling the output either in steps or stepless Manner.

(D) The Rectifies are manufactured either in Natural/Air Cooled or OIL Cooled type. All the electro deposition process is always associated with acidic and corrosive fumes and dust. Any contact with these fumes and dust reduces the life and perfection of the units. 
Oil Immersed construction offers best possible protection to the Rectifier and increase the life and reliability tremendously. The Variable Regulator is always housed in a separate tank. For Rectifiers upto 10 KW output capacity,
the Transformers and Rectifiers of higher capacities, separate tanks for Transformers and Rectifiers are being used. For Rectifier units pf 3000 Amps and above current rating can also be supplied in two or three tanks for better cooling.

METERING
A Voltmeter and an ammeter are provided on a separate panel with unit to indicate the Out put Current. The panel is
mounted on one of the tanks to enable easy manipulation with the help of the variable Regulator. The Ammeter is used in conjuction with an external shunt, which is fitted inside the tank. Rectifiers upto an Output of 12 KW are provided with 4” (96 mm) size dial moving coil flush type meters and rectifiers of higher capacities. The meters are of 6” 
(144 mm) size. We also provide 3 numbers pilot lamps for three phase and one number pilot lamp for single phase rectifiers.

GUARANTEE:
All  our Rectifier units are guaranteed for a period of 12 months form the date of supply against any manufacturing defects, bad workmanship or faulty raw material. Whether within the guarantee period or beyond, we always provide excellent after sales services.

NOTE:

  1. Units of ratings beyond our standards specifications such as Input Voltage range, maximum output voltage and  current or with overload requirements of short duration can also be provided against specific requirements.
  2. Special High Rupturing Capacity (HRC) fuses are provided on the primary of the Main Transformers to protect the unit from overloading or short circuiting.
  3. We also manufacture Rectifiers of Single Phase, 50 Hz A.C. supply suitable for operating upto 230 Volts with maximum Voltage of 8 Volts of 24 Volts at a range of current ratings from 10 Amps to 250 Amps, all Natural/Air Cooled type.

ACCEPTED STANDARD RECTIFIER FOR DIFFERENT PURPOSES:

  1. 8 Volts for the majority of electroplating and cleaning processes.
  2. 12 Volts of Hard Chromium plating, Cleaning and Barrel plating applications.
  3. 16 Volts for fully immersed barrels.
  4. 20 Volts to 60 Volts for Sulphuric Acid process and Chromic Acid process of anodizing.
  5. Single phase Rectifier units are not suitable for Chromium plating as the ripple content is at about 48% and hence there will not be smooth deposition of Chrome.
